PBS Frontline: Out of Gitmo

I served as the local producer in Serbia for an episode of PBS Frontline called “Out of Gitmo,” which looks at the Obama State Department’s efforts to close down the prison at Guantanamo Bay. The team traveled to Serbia to interview a Mansoor al-Daifi, former detainee about his experiences since he was released last summer. What we found is that no one knows the exact terms of Mansoor’s stay in Serbia, and that there seems to be little sense of responsibility towards a man who was locked up – without charge – for more than a decade.
